Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of these Terms

By creating an EventTrey account, browsing the marketplace, contacting a vendor, or making a booking through EventTrey, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must stop using EventTrey.

2. Account Registration

You must create an account to book vendors, message vendors, or list vendor services. You agree to provide accurate information at registration and to keep that information current. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account and for keeping your password confidential. You must notify us immediately at eventtrey-team@eventtrey.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age and a resident of the Philippines (or a person otherwise authorised to transact in the Philippines) to use EventTrey. Vendor accounts must be operated by a person legally authorised to bind the underlying business. We may require proof of age, residency, or business authority at any time.

4. Marketplace Role

EventTrey is a directory and booking facilitator. We help customers discover, contact, and pay vendors. EventTrey is NOT a party to the underlying service contract between a customer and a vendor. The contract for catering, photography, venue, decor, or any other event service is formed directly between the customer and the vendor.

EventTrey is not a vendor, not a producer, not an agent or broker of any vendor, and does not employ, supervise, or guarantee the performance of any vendor. Vendors operate as independent businesses.

5. Payments

EventTrey does not process payments and does not hold customer or vendor funds. Payment for a booking is made directly between the customer and the vendor using a method they agree on (for example bank transfer or e-wallet), and is recorded in EventTrey so both parties share one record of what has been paid. EventTrey does not charge customers a booking facilitation fee, never asks for payment card numbers, and does not store them.

Optional paid upgrades (such as Premium or Boost), where offered, are purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play and are billed by those stores under their own terms.

6. Refunds and Cancellations

Refund eligibility, cancellation windows, and dispute escalation are governed by the EventTrey Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms by reference. Individual vendors may set their own cancellation schedule, which is shown to the customer at the time of booking and which prevails over the platform default for that booking.

7. Vendor Verification

EventTrey operates a four-tier vendor verification ladder (Tier 0 through Tier 3). Verification involves checking identity documents, business registration documents, and category-specific Philippine permits (for example: sanitary permits and FDA licenses for caterers, CAAP clearance for drone operators, BFP fire-safety inspection for venues).

Verification is NOT a warranty. Verification confirms that the vendor presented a document matching a known format at a point in time. It does not certify the quality, suitability, or safety of any service provided, and does not transfer liability for vendor performance to EventTrey.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree to comply with the EventTrey Acceptable Use Policy, which prohibits harassment, fraud, off-platform payment solicitation, fake reviews, impersonation, and other conduct described therein. Violations may result in account suspension or termination at EventTrey's sole discretion.

9. Your Content

This section covers everything you put into EventTrey. It applies to vendors and to planners, because both of you bring material with you.

Vendors upload portfolios, service and package photography, business logos, storefront copy, contract templates and price lists. Planners upload event photos, mood boards, guest lists, budgets, documents and the details of the event itself. Both of you write messages and reviews, and attach files to them.

You keep what you own. Uploading it to EventTrey does not transfer ownership. A photographer's portfolio remains the photographer's. A planner's event album remains the planner's. We claim nothing.

What you allow us to do with it. So that the platform can actually function, you grant EventTrey a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, back up, resize and display your content - but only to operate and promote the EventTrey service and the features you asked us to provide.

In practice that means the ordinary things you already expect:

• a vendor's portfolio appearing on their public storefront, and in search and category listings where customers browse
• a vendor's photos appearing in a quote, a package or a contract you send
• a planner's event photos appearing to the collaborators and guests they invited, at the access level they chose
• a review appearing on the vendor page it was written about
• an attachment appearing in the conversation it was sent to
• thumbnails, previews and resized copies, because a full-size photo cannot be served to a phone

It does not mean we will sell your work, license it onward to anyone else, or use it in outside advertising. If we ever want to feature your content in marketing beyond the platform itself, we will ask you first.

What you promise us. You confirm you own what you upload, or otherwise have permission to upload it, and that it infringes nobody else's rights. This one matters most to vendors: if a hired photographer, videographer or designer made the work, you need their permission before it goes on your storefront. Many photography contracts license images for a specific use only. Check yours. The same applies to a planner posting photos a guest or a hired supplier took.

Ending the licence. It lasts while the content is on the platform. Delete the content, or your account, and it ends - except where the law requires us to keep a copy, or where it sits in a backup for a limited period. Content already delivered to someone else, such as a photo sent in a message or attached to a completed booking record, stays in that record.

Content we remove. We may remove anything that breaches the Acceptable Use Policy. This licence does not oblige us to display or keep anything.

10. Liability Disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by Philippine law, EventTrey, its officers, employees, and affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to: (a) the conduct or performance of any vendor; (b) the content of any user-submitted listing, review, or message; (c) any service interruption, data loss, or unauthorised access not caused by EventTrey's gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

EventTrey's aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to your use of the platform shall not exceed the amounts paid by you to EventTrey (including subscription or upgrade purchases) in the twelve months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

11. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by emailing eventtrey-team@eventtrey.com or by using the in-product account deletion flow. EventTrey may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for any violation of these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, or applicable law, or where required by a competent regulator or court.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the courts of competent jurisdiction in Metro Manila, Philippines.

13. Changes to these Terms

EventTrey may update these Terms from time to time. When we publish a new version, we will require you to re-accept the new version on your next login. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new version. Prior versions are retained in the EventTrey legal archive.

14. Contact

This version takes effect on August 18, 2026 and remains in force until replaced by a newer version published on this page.

What changed in 1.2 (August 18, 2026): added Section 9, Your Content - the licence that lets EventTrey display what vendors and planners upload. Sections 9 through 13 were renumbered 10 through 14; no wording in them changed.
